This is an innovative lifting (skin tension) technique much used in Europe. Special threads are inserted beneath the skin, producing a lifting effect. This technique has also been proved to enhance skin quality and to have a rejuvenating effect.

Skin tension can be used on the face, neck and many other parts of the body. In the face, particular success can be achieved in sagging of the cheeks, eyebrows and eyelids, lifting the forehead, correcting an impaired jaw line and tensing the neck. In the body, it represents an ideal techniques for treating sagging upper arm skin and the insides of the thighs.

Areas of Use

  • Nasolabial fold

  • Jaw line

  • Eyebrow lifting

  • Beneath the jaw

  • Crow’s feet

  • Deep wrinkles on the neck and forehead

The skin tightening effect appears immediately after application, depending on the patient’s requirements and the choice of technique. The full skin tightening and lifting effect appears within an average of 3 months and lasts for 2 years.

How is the procedure performed?

First, your face is cleaned, after which a local anesthetic is applied to the skin. Special PDO (polydiaxonone) threads are applied to marked points in the area concerned. Production of collagen, containing fibroblasts and growth factors starts as a response to the PDO threads. This doubles the lifting effect. Once anesthesia has been applied to the area to be treated, the special threads are inserted by a doctor. The number of threads ranges between 30 and 100, depending on the extent of skin sagging. The difference is apparent immediately after the procedure. The effect becomes gradually more pronounced, and your skin will become increasingly taut. The final result will be completely visible within a few weeks, and the effect will last for approximately 12-18 months. The procedure lasts approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
